# Pow

### **Description**‌

The Pow function returns the result of x raised to the power y.

### **Syntax**

‌The syntax for the Pow function is:

`Pow(x,n)`

#### ‌**Parameters**

x - the base used in the calculation.

n -  the exponent used in the calculation. If x is negative, then n must be an integer.

### **Returns**

‌The Pow function returns a numeric value.

### **Example**‌

Let's look at some Pow function examples and explore how to use the Pow function.‌

Result: 9

Pow(5, 3)
Result: 125

POW(-5, 3)
Result: -125

POW(6.2, 3)
Result: 238.328

POW(6.2, 3.5)
