We started developing our Windows CE client over a decade ago, and it has been a strong deal breaker in many cases since then. But technology is constantly evolving, and Microsoft ended the support for Windows CE some years ago.
Now it is our time to phase out Windows CE. We see that more and more customers are moving to Android devices, with more processing capacity and more flexible hardware. We are also putting a lot of effort into making the Flow Android client the prime choice for warehouse and other barcode-intense environments. With less clients to develop, we can also focus our efforts to where we think they will benefit our customers the most. However, to make the transition to as smooth as possible for our customers that still uses Windows CE, we will continue to maintain the Windows CE client over the coming two years. Windows CE Client requires version 5.0 or newer with .NET Compact Framework 3.5.

There are two ways to do the installation either with the .Cab file or the manual way to move the unzipped folder Device to the scanner device.
Always install the client under the flash drive on the device, otherwise can the installation be lost when doing a reboot
Move the file to the scanner and run the file on the device. After the installation is done, change the Novacura Flow server address in the setting.xml.
Change the address to the Novacura Flow server address in the file setting.xml. Copy the Device folder with the changed settings.xml file to the scanner. Create a shortcut to the .exe file on the desktop.
If the error message: An error message is available for this exception but cannot be displayed because these messages are optional and are not currently installed on this device. Please install 'NETCFv35.Messages.EN.wm.cab' for Mobile 5.0 and above or 'NETCFv35.Messages.EN.cab' for other platforms. Restart the application to see the message. appear, then download and install NETCFv35.Messages.EN.wm.cab and NETCFv35.Messages.EN.cab on the device, this will make the real error appear. To setup the device to, after a scan, automatically move forward in the workflow, go to the control panel and open "NID scanner" and go to tab "Misc2" and set the scanner prefixes and postfixes to semicolon. As in the picture to the right. This will make everything that is scanned automatically get a semicolon in front and the end of the scanned value.
